14 PL clubs about Super League: PL reject the plan & prevent it from progressing
“The Premier League, together with the Football Federation of England, met with the clubs today to discuss the immediate implications of the Super League proposal.
“All 14 clubs present at the meeting unanimously and strongly rejected the plans for the competition.
“The Premier League is considering all available actions to prevent it from progressing, as well as to hold the shareholders involved accountable according to its rules.
“The Premier will continue to work with key stakeholders, including fan groups, the Government, UEFA, the FA, EFL, PFA and LMA to protect the best interests of the game and ask the clubs involved in the proposed competition to stop to participate immediately.
“The Premier League would like to thank the fans and all stakeholders for the support they have shown this week on this important issue.
"The reaction shows how much our open pyramid and our soccer community mean to people."

If i was playing at say Lionel Messi's level and the ESL is crushed and hence take a huge pay cut say to less than half my contract i would consider calling it quits. These top players are companies guys who also employ staff to take care of many things. Eventually it won't be worth it. For the fans this ESL thing is the best for viewing. UEFA can still be running with the likes of Westham no offense. Hopefully they win and qualify for the big ESL next season. Nowadays its more of viewership than watching from the stadiums. Let the players keep doing what we love than to want them to pull the whole 250 clubs that won't work.

I'm in support of the Super league for the following reasons; 1) Top European clubs have been complaining about the stress UEFA and FIFA put on their players with unnecessary international football fixtures but they turned dead ears while players are getting injured and clubs spending their resources to heal these players. 2) Looking at the way UEFA and FIFA have been fighting against the super league, I think if they have been fighting racism with the same energy, racism would have been dealt with a long time ago. But guess what, they do not care!! All they care about is money!!! 3) Covid 19 has cost most of these top clubs alot but what has UEFA/FIFA done to reduce the financial scars? Nothing much. Now these clubs have decided to embrace a move that will earn them enough to cover for the loses, criminal UEFA and FIFA have suddenly stood up majestically in fight for the money. Based on all these, I'm supporting the super league not because I love it but just because I'm glad to see these greedy football governing bodies cry so bitterly!!

I think I'm just neutral with this whole thing.. point is we don't know the complete benefits the ESL will bring..UCL didn't start out to be as great as it is now, it's all about progress..and you people will end up loving the whole thing in the end..it all seems bad right now cause it seems unfair to your eyes but you also have to understand football isn't run on passion alone but also money.. some big teams are slowly going bankrupt and soon they'll stop attracting the big name players and you the same people refusing will be the ones crying that your team is finished..so sometimes only complain about something when you see the end result not before it even begins..

Florentino Perez: "UEFA doesn’t have a good image throughout it’s history, so don’t make me talk." "Why aren’t UEFA & LaLiga salaries public? Why haven’t salaries been reduced like everyone else during the pandemic? We need more transparency. We know the salary of LeBron James but we don’t know the salary of the UEFA president." Florentino Perez has caught UEFA’s bluff. He knows that they won’t kick any of the Super League founders from the competitions or ban the players. This has been in the works for 20 years, he has every single angle covered. We are entering the new era of football...

Fans and players have a big say in this. Especially player, i assume they hve loads of money already, why can't they boycott and ask to be released from their contract, lets see how interesting SL would it be without the big names (they have a responsibility to the integrity of the game) Messi, Ronaldo, Pogba, KDB, Ramos, Henderson, Salah, Mane, Kane, Bruno, and more Pep, Zidane, Conte, Kloop, Arteta, Simone, Pirlo, If all those big names in the game boycott theirs contracts Perez and his greedy friends would have no choice but to stop. I don't know the legal ramifications but just a thought.

It's a shame people still support Uefa and Fifa. They are obviously scared and intimidated by the ESL and they only care about their own pocket and because they know the fans are use to the UCL and Domestic Leagues they now threathen to ban the teams from them just to get fans to support them. How have they helped big teams whose value are dropping? How have they helped the racism issues happening in football everyday? But because their pockets are at stake they are ready to do anything to stop the ESL which would be double their standard from happening. Everyone is saying "The ESL is all about Money, it's not football". What is UCL and the domestic leagues all about??? we're they ever free entertainment??? No player plays for free, Every player plays on their payday! Every fan pays to watch their favorite teams either in stadiums or Tv. Players are traded for money. Of course it's entertainment but it all evolves around money!! The EsL is gonna gain a lot more and Fifa and Uefa are gonna lose value because of that , at the end of the day it's all about Money

Thats why racism wil neva end in football..rich wil always think of them selves. big teams are bankrupt bcoz u spend to much on players thinking you are goin to win every trophy there is, it doesn't work that way stupid... every team in its league has a purpose big or small they all want to archive something at the end of the season. if a small team beat a so called big team al they is "that they weren't at their best, they didn't play well thats not them that were out there" why just gave created to the team and players for what they have done, bcoz its done game over they beat the rich club. at the end of the day only one club is goin to win whatever trophy is there not every season you goin to win a trophy either. but no big clubs want to win every time, any season and every thing. jokes on you Richard

UEFA and FIFA are not giving us tangible reasons why the Super League shouldn't take place while the organizers of Super League have given us tangible and reasonable reasons why it should take place. So us a reasonable person I stand with Super League.

Look, it's unsure whether the Super League will go through or not. But the thing is it won't be that long of an issue. People will slowly start to accept the way it is, because football evolves with time. It won't be the same forever. Just think about it, when football was invented, the task was just to put the ball in the net using your feet. Then came the idea of football tournaments, which eventually led to the formation of leagues, cup competitions, World Cup and eventually the Champions League. Even on the pitch, previously the game would be played with 9 strikers, 1 defender and 1 goalkeeper, then came the use of formations and tactics, many years later, Johan Cruyff's came with the dominant approach of football, Tiki-Taka stuff, then Jose Mourinho's counter attacking style of play, and today, we are playing the game that has evolved over so many years. Talk about financing, previously clubs would be run by presidents, then came the idea of owner financing and look at what Roman Abramovich did to Chelsea. Imagine the state of Man City now had there not been a takeover from Mansour. We talk about the way they "bought success" but is there anyone who addressed this issue to UEFA? The thing is that the European Super League won't do any harm to football, it will still be played, so I guess it's better to accept the way it is and move on, coz you can't help it

I do not like the idea of a super league but I support them to go ahead with it. UEFA and FIFA have been taking this clubs for a ride for too long. This should serve as a wake up call to them that they are not all powerful and cannot control everything about football. They should know that football teams are businesses and need money to run them, so either they increase the percentage of money they give them from the UCL or the ESL goes on as planned. Perez knows they're bluffing about banning them from other competitions so UEFA instead of trying to turn the fans against the super league saying it'll destroy smaller clubs should hold dialogues with these teams and discuss how they increase their percentages. #saynotosuperleague

oky, this is what should happen. those so called big teams should have their own league but should not participate in their previous leagues. The clubs that come out top four from the superleague should go to champions league with the top four clubs from other leagues. so if Norwich City or Leeds united finishes third in the premier league, it should have a chance of playing with Barcelona in the champions league. I think that's the way. Other clubs from super league will play in Europa following today's guidelines. or we can just say that if a club from premier league or other league wins Europa or champions league, it should be promoted to super league or the clubs that win the leagues should be promoted to Superleague and if arsenal finishes last in the superleague, it should be relegated for which I know it will definitely be relegated if it plays in the superleague.

Look at the level of feeling this has caused, and look at how quickly and collectively it's been dealt with, and why? Truth be told, it was swiftly dealt with because of the same thing those behind the ESL were being accused of, GREED! That's right undiluted greed, all those except the mugged of fans whose spat their dummies out over this stood to lose big time financially, as well as jobs etc, And who do they call on yo get the job done, the dozzy fans who they've been mugging off big time for the last year plus with lock downs and lockouts. And what about all the people of colour and the non racists whom they also been mugging off for decades with token gestures regards racism in football, why hasn't that been dealt with in a similar swift manner? I'll you why, it's because racism in foot doesn't hurt their pickets in the same or similar way! ESL, EPL, FA, etc they're all cut from the same cloth and that includes FA spoilt brat mouth piece Gary Neville. Greed is who they are, serve, and will always be. You keep watching and see.

PL clubs should go to hell . Instead of everyone to come together and get Rid of UEFA and FIFA, which makes more sense. They’re busy fighting the wrong war here . The reason for the creation of the super league, is to stop 🛑 UEFA from using them to make money. I don’t see anyone asking questions, like all this money being made by UEFA and FIFA, how do they spend it ? UEFA or FIFA doesn’t care about the big clubs or even the smaller ones . And that is the reality. There is a financial crisis on ground facing this big clubs and UEFA is doing nothing to help . So they gotta find a way out . Seems creating their own league will fix there problems. And everyone keeps saying they don’t care about the smaller clubs, why the hell should they ? When in reality UEFA or FIFA themselves doesn’t really care about them . In few months from now the overpriced transfer market will open , what has UEFA done to control prices? Instead they encourage it when PSG went ballistic on the market few seasons ago . And to the so called small clubs, that also don’t care 🤷♀️ about them

It's a good strategy business wise but what about the small clubs?Anyway we as funs just need more action of football. How do you find a week without football action. These bodies are all selfish we the fans are just interested in more football action.I think this super League will succeed because these guys have everything to make them progress ahead. They even know the weaknesses inside the FIFA body.If you talk of money they have it and they are fighting for more.It seems the FIFA laws have poke holes that's why they opted to form the league knowing that they will succeed.More football action more fun for the funs.At the end of the day we shall see who will win.If Nations league succeeded and there was Euro, why not super League?Just waiting to see who knows the law better to win this battle.
