Real Sociedad inflicted another defeat on Real Madrid in what has been their worst season in the 21st century. Los Blancos sit 18 points adrift of Barcelona and have suffered 17 defeats in all competitions, which brought to an end their control of the Champions League.
Not since the 1998/99 season have Los Merengues had a worse season than this in statistical terms, and even the return of Zinedine Zidane hasn't been enough to stop the rot that set in from the moment Cristiano Ronaldo left the club.
Madrid haven't won an away game since March 10, and they've conceded 44 goals in LaLiga Santander. This is far from a defensive record that is able to challenge for the title.
If the team lose to Real Betis on the final day, it would take them to 18 defeats in all competitions, the joint-second worst in the club's history, along with the ill-fated 1994/95 campaign.

When a Legend leaves a team with pain in the heart it become a curse to the team. They will be able to overcome after 3yrs.

All said and done it will be a huge mistake if Madrid thinks it's all after CR7 left. NO. It started much before and they need to plug all those gaps including a brilliant striker.

For a club that have dominated Europe for the past five years without no challenges , i would say that they will be back strong than ever. But is a shame i can't say the same with My team Barcelona local champions with 1 champions league trophy in 8 years. A big shame for a big club like FCB which also parades the world best player(MESSI) but poor management have destroyed us with mediocre coaches at its finest. #VALVERD OUT #VALVERDE OUT
