Marcus Rashford finally secured a move away from Manchester United on Sunday and now the Red Devils have less than a day to find his replacement.
The 27-year-old completed a loan to Aston Villa that could yet see him join the club permanently in the summer, for a fee believed to be £40million. Rashford may not have found a place in Ruben Amorim's plans over the last six weeks or so, but his exit may have provided the Red Devils with with room to work.
Aston Villa will reportedly pay up to 90 per cent of the forward's salary, dependent on performance-related bonuses. That is not an insignificant cost with a weekly wage in excess of £300,000.
But who are United's options to come into Old Trafford? Mirror Football takes a look at who Amorim and co could target.
United have seen no luck in their quest to land Mathys Tel on loan from Bayern Munich. While talks for the French forward collapsed, the Red Devils may yet know what the German giants' demands are.
Tel already had named United as his preferred destination for more playing time. Perhaps they could reignite a late move with the view of signing the youngster permanently, given his profile fits United targets.
Christopher Nkunku could form a more ready-made option, who could even slot in leading the line if Amorim plans to continue without an out-and-out forward in his starting lineup. It appears Chelsea would rather facilitate a permanent exit over a loan move however which could see an offer of more than £60m required.
United could return for further negotiations with Aston Villa, with Leon Bailey touted for a move. The 27-year-old is said to have been discussed internally at United and they would consider a loan deal if he is available.
Liam Delap won't come cheap this month if Ipswich have hopes of remaining in the Premier League beyond this season. Reports claim the Red Devils could aim to land another young striker however and there are few hitting the heights of the ex-Manchester City youngster.
With the possibility of negotiations for Alejandro Garnacho and Nkunku with Chelsea on Sunday, perhaps Joao Felix could come up in conversation. The Blues appear happy to part ways with Amorim's countryman amid links to Aston Villa and AC Milan and the ex-Atletico Madrid figure could be a good option for Amorim's system at short notice.

Leave Chelsea and nkunku alone. If we must do business with Chelsea,it must be Felix while we still be trying from other clubs. What of Viktor Gyokeres or Osimhen?
