Camp Nou was filled as Barcelona took on Liverpool. Fans turned out in droves as the Catalans recorded an attendance of 98,299 fans for the Champions League semi-final first leg. The best attendance of the season.
The previous best had been recorded in the quarter-final against Man United, 96,708, ahead of the 5-1 league win over Real Madrid, 93,265, and the derby against Espanyol, 92,795.
Jurgen Klopp said before the game that "the Camp Nou is not a temple of football," which helped further to fill out the stadium to prove the German coach wrong.
Barca won 3-0 and are well placed ahead of the second leg at Anfield.

The capacity at Camp Nou must be doubled. Our temple is now too small for our King [Messi] and his warriors.

It was worth the money for Barca fans and Liverpool fans because Barca fans got to witness what they always do and Liverpool fans witnessed greatness they haven't experienced before
