AC Milan are taking steps to secure Alexis Saelemaekers with a new contract, following reported interest from Aston Villa, Juventus, and Roma.
The 26-year-old has become a key player for new manager Maximiliano Allegri, starting all three of AC Milan’s three Serie A games so far this season.
Saelemaekers spent last season on loan with Roma but has nailed down the right wingback spot in Allegri’s 3-5-2 formation.
Roma were interested in signing him permanently, as were Juventus and Aston Villa, but all of their approaches were turned down.
Now, according to Corriere dello Sport, Milan are keen on extending his contract beyond the current 2027 expiration.
It’s understood any potential new deal will see him sign until 2029, with an option for a further 12-months and an improved salary.
