Clubs that buy players tend to get a lot of criticism than the ones that promote youth. For example, Real Madrid are labelled as the destroyers of talent and resources for buying big-name stars and letting go of talented youth teamers. Sometimes, however, it is the players they buy that led the club to glory. So, which one is more helpful to a club? Buy players or promote the youth?

To promote youth is good but buying a very talented players is the best A lamesia can not produce another messi A castila can not produce another Ramos A sporting cp can not produce another Ronaldo So buying from other clubs is the reasons why there is tranfer in FOOTBALL

We will never have another Fc Barcelona like that of Xavi,Iniesta without coming through the ranks of La Masia home grown talent is best but it's rare to get a 1st 11 of home grown.

To buy a players and to promote the youth is different based on the clubs. They are two different parts of football. Some clubs gives more priority to buy a players whereas some clubs wnats to promote the youth. Let's take an example of Real Madrid and Barcelona:- Previously, Real Madrid focused to buy top class players, rather than promoting youths. They brought top players like C.Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo... etc. Whereas, Barcelona try to promote their youth as they promote the players like Xavi, inestia, messi, puyol and..... etc. Promoting youths and buying top class players depends in the club management.

both are equally important...! even the youth academy players need players in the first team to look up-to and learn from... players with class are obviously expensive, however they set an example for any youth academy.. and I believe every team gives equal importance to both these factors...

IMO..Promoting the youth is more important... because the youth grows playing in the same style the club plays in.. in the same atmosphere..and they get more used to the team than the newly bought players who come from different clubs who have differeny play style and atmosphere.. because of which they take time to adapt but the youth is used to the club and can get going when needed and given chances..

I think both play a very important role. If we take Barcelona for instance, they buy the players but they have produced legends in their academy and when they got banned and couldn't promote the youth players to their first team they suffered a lot and they had to invest so much in players by buying them and their youth academy structure was destroyed and later they rebuild it and still they are suffering a bit as there staff claims

promote youth players is better in the sense that the players already understands your system and will gel better in your team and will also cost less fee and wages and also win over the fans. why spend huge fees on teenagers when you have players in your youths teams that who knows has a better quality. man city spent £60m on mahrez and sancho who they let to go is outperforming him. give your youth some chance and who knows might even be better

I think factors such as TIME and MANAGEMENT to achieve the task at hand or a project can go a long way to determine whether a club should buy players or promote from the youth ranks. With buying experienced players, it gives a club a 90% chance of an instant result, and that’s why experienced players often get criticized when they perform below a standard. whereas promoting youngsters will mean the club management and fans will have to be very patient towards achieving result as it could take years for the to gain experience , confidence and exposure. One major advantage promoting youngsters have over buying experienced players is PROFITABILITY. It cost less paying salaries of promoted youngsters, they are easy for the coach to manage, and their value tends to increase overtime therefore can be regarded as ASSET to a club. On the other hand an experienced player may start to loose value overtime, wages of such player can be too much of a liability for a club management to be paying as a result the club may decide to sell below market value, and they often turn out to be a headache for coaches to manage as most of them are even richer and have won more trophies than the coaches.

Having talented players in youth academy is always a plus point! Club don't have to spend a lot on transfer for the equally valued players! Barca is perfect example! Messi, xavi, iniesta, puyol, roberto, busquests, alacntra, pique, motta, valdes, fabregas etc are legends from la masia.. Same from la fabricia

The most important thing is to promote the youth. Barca is a good example, but buying shud only apply when at youth level you do not have a player with the exceptional talent the senior team needs. Panji Nyirenda-Zambia, Kalulushi

💪🏾⚽️⚽️ Promote the youth will always be important because you could have a Lionel Messi in your youth team but you Would ignore him and go spent all huge amount of money on a superstar for no reason and when you talking about youth players No team knows about youth players than FC Barcelona who has made great players through youth academy and Barca has also promoted wonderful Coaches who learned everything at Barcelona and the style of tiki taka which is Take the ball ⚽️ pass the ball ⚽️ and this style of playing Is thought to any FC Barcelona youth team player so they get to learn how to play the Barcelona way from a young age!

if we are referring to teams like arsenal, promoting youth will be risky because their fans overhype their players but slate them after a poor performance, so buying experienced players will be better. Meanwhile, teams like dortmund, promoting youth will be better because their fans will support their players during good and hard times. also, they make their players feel more comfortable and feel as it is their home. finally, borrusia Dortmund have succeeded in gaining at least 200 million from selling players like aubameyang, dembele, etc...... , so it will be obvious that they will continue using the same strategy. who agrees with me? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
