if anybody deserves ballondor it's cr7 or varane this year but we all know who will win it modric,because the defender can never win it in these days and cr7 has left real Madrid and modric is a midfielder but not the best in the world for me it's always,ZiZOU and Iniesta in that place and guess these two have won the world cup but iniesta after winning all that didn't get the award because Messi was better than him that year but modric didn't win nothing more than varane and cr7 and was not the best player in UCL and world cup for me and guess what he will take it home that's real politics from haters who desperately wanted to end duopoly between cr7 and Messi,I want a madrista but speak truth it may be harsh for some plastic fans but guess what it's the truth bro!

I don't understand the category for choosing the winner anymore. Because based on the individual brilliance and performance alone Messi should be given the award cos his least on the pitch is the best most of the final nominees can produce. He played in the la liga with griezman, mordric and Ronaldo and became best goal scorer, best assist player, best passer, best through passer, best dribblers among others yet they say he went out early in World Cup and so those who advanced pass his team are better than him. We should remember in the World Cup you face deferent opponents but in the league you all face the same opponents. So to me it should be Messi

Griezmann deserves this trophy or Varane, but defenders do not get enough credit for their job, They both won the World Cup and European cups respectively, But Griezmann has really evolved under Simeone, Personally I don't have a Favorite to win, but if it's based on trophies - Griezmann, Player Performance - Modric, Varane is a bit of both, the only reason varane has been even selected is because he won the World Cup

Hazard deserves to win the Ballon’d’or. I am not saying this because I am a Chelsea fan. His playing style is outrageously phenomenal. His passes are on spot. Do u guys remember when hazard just came on and gave an assist to Morata against crystal palace. He has also scored 7 goals so far. Not bad. His runs are always dangerous. With hazard, Chelsea can thrash opponents round and round. Doesn’t matter if we lost against Tottenham. We can get back at them in next year’s Tottenham v Chelsea game. But Hazard can lead us to the title or even a champions league spot. He did everything to deserve this award.

All those agitating for Ronaldo should be disappointed at themselves for wanting a player whose only personal achievement is top scorer at UCL to win the Ballon d'Or. First of all Ballon d'Or is not for the best player in UCL (which Modric already claimed ahead of Ronaldo), it's for the overall best player in all competitions. For many years FIFA was so biased; disregarding the performance of midfielders, defenders and goal keepers for personal awards, but this new era is attempting to correct that error. Usually UCL is the highest trophy for each season except in a WC year, but FIFA had previously disregarded that too. Messi and Ronaldo achieved nothing at the WC and as God will have it, they crashed out on the same day. But no one can deny the fact the Luka Modric was the undisputed best at the WC, leading Croatia to the final also he was key to Madrid's UCL success. Looking at other performers; Messi claimed everything in Spain and won overall top scorer in Europe. Grezmann won Europa League and WC. Mbappe won Ligue 1 and WC. Varane won UCL and WC. Yet Modric outperformed them all at WC, won best player in UCL and WC and won UCL... this is not to say he has suddenly become a better player than Messi or Ronaldo, but his performance last season was better. Based in these facts and more, Modric is worthy of this years Ballon d'Or otherwise Grezmann should win it. Note: the most important thing in football is not scoring goals, but WINNING and every player must do their job for that to happen... respect them all.

If it's individual titles? Messi or Modrić deserves it : European golden boot, La liga MVP & Top scorer and World cup golden ball, Fifa men's best player respectively. If It's team titles Varane or Greizmann deserves it: World cup & Champions league and World cup, Europa league and, Super cup respectively. If it's Overall Individual performance, Messi deserves it followed by Ronaldo as second.
