A second-half strike from Martyn Waghorn ensured Derby reached the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday.
Frank Lampard's side were frustrated by Accrington Stanley until Waghorn struck in the 78th minute.
The League One outfit had Daniel Barlaser sent off in 59th minute for a second bookable offence and Derby also finished the game with 10 men after Jayden Bogle was shown the red card late on.
