Sergio Aguero created more history on Sunday during Manchester City's Premier League clash with Southampton.

The Argentine netted City's second goal at the Etihad Stadium to put Pep Guardiola's reigning champions in complete control - turning home from close range from Raheem Sterling's cross.

And it was a landmark moment for the striker. He has become only the third player in Premier League history to score 150 goals for one club.

The only other two players to achieve the remarkable feat are Thierry Henry with 175 for Arsenal and Wayne Rooney with 183 for Manchester United.

City fans will be hoping that their main striker can push towards 200 Premier League goals as they look to maintain their dominance in the top flight.

The 30-year-old has also became only the ninth player to have scored 150 goals in the Premier League.

The others include Michael Owen (150), Jermain Defoe (162), Robbie Fowler (163), Henry (175), Frank Lampard (177), Andy Cole (187), Rooney (208) and Alan Shearer (260).

Only England and Newcastle legend Shearer has reached the feat quicker. Shearer took 212 games to score 150, while Aguero made 217 appearances.
