Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has revealed he is close to making a sensational return to football - as a club owner.
The 36-year-old, who had to retire from football nearly three years ago because of a heart condition, is keeping the club's identity a secret but says it is not in his native Argentina.
He revealed his plans in a chat with Argentinian streamer Coscu, real name Martin Perez Disalvo, saying when asked if he wanted to return to football as a manager: 'The truth is that I'm thinking of getting involved in a football club as an owner.
'I'm not going to say which club it is, but I think we're on the right path.
'I like to be able to manage, to help the club to progress, to build a good team, a good staff.
'I prefer to see a club grow in a proper way, to be honest.'
Aguero already has an eSports team, KRU Esports, which his close friend Lionel Messi joined as a co-owner in November last year.
The fact he spends most of his time in Miami where Messi plays is bound to spark speculation he has his eyes on an MLS team.
Earlier this month the former Premier League star showed a flash of his past glory by scoring a goal at The Soccer Tournament - a 7-on-7 competition in Cary, North Carolina - in a Man City kit.
His Aguero Team were taking on La Mexicana Express.
The dad-of-one, whose model girlfriend Sofia Calzetti will soon give birth to their first child together, announced his retirement from professional football at an emotional press conference in December 2021.
He was diagnosed with an irregular heartbeat days after he was taken to hospital clutching his chest and complaining of breathing problems and dizziness during a game against Alaves at the end of October 2021.
He signed for Barcelona after becoming the club's record goalscorer during his decade at the Citizens.
Aguero took a massive pay cut to join the Catalan giants after being offered the chance to team up with seven-times Ballon d'Or winner Messi before his glittering career was cut short.
He played only five games for Barcelona after his Man City departure with Messi having moved to Paris Saint-Germain.

comments here shows that lot of people just read head lines and jump straight to comment without even reading in details.Or either ways some people even if they read, they just don't know how to comprehend what they read.

i hope he went The route of Beckham, be a co- shareholder to a club he believes can one day deliver him returns🤞💯 you don't want to be a club owner for the sake of thar, otherwise you'd end up losing all your money and go bankrupt 🤞💯
