Ajax director tells Juve €80m De Ligt is on brink of joining Barca (RAI Sport)

It appears a meeting between Juventus and Ajax's directors of football has revealed Matthijs de Ligt's next club.

According to RAI Sport, Marc Overmas told his opposite number at Juventus, Fabio Paratici, that the Dutch defender is close to signing a contract with FC Barcelona. In the same meeting, according to 'Calciomercato', Ajax revealed the deal for de Ligt will be worth around €80m.

This meeting took place when Ajax and Juventus clashed in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

All signs appear to be pointing at de Ligt joining up with his Ajax teammate Frenkie de Jong at the Camp Nou next season.
