Ajax have offered £28million for Tottenham winger Steven Bergwijn after talks between Daniel Levy and Edwin van der Sar.

Spurs are still looking to finalise details pending further discussions despite the Dutch club's hopes of a resolution.
Sportsmail revealed that the north London side rejected a bid worth £17m for the forward last month, although discussions continued.

In January, Spurs knocked back a bigger offer for the Holland international, but have been prepared to offload him. Everton have previously been interested in him.
However, Ajax are the club of Bergwijn's choice, and tabled a five-year deal.
The 24-year-old was born in Amsterdam and played academy football for the club until the age of 13, when he joined PSV - with a return now increasingly likely.
He made his first-team breakthrough during his spell in Eindhoven and caught the eye of clubs around Europe, before he joined Spurs for £27m in January 2020.
Bergwijn scored on his debut at Manchester City, but struggled for regular starts.
Speaking to AD earlier this year, he hinted he would look to move away from Spurs.
'A starting spot here [at Tottenham]? I don't think so to be honest,' he said. 'It's a complicated story for me.
'I don't play much. Ajax could be an option for me, and a return to The Netherlands could be an option for me. The World Cup is coming.'

Real fans will never forget when he was substituted on and scored 2goals in 95+ and 96+ to turn the game on its head
