All three players have been struggling with muscular problems of late, but the Brazilian is understood to have the lowest chance of taking part in the first-leg.
Mendy has a 60 percent chance of playing, whilst Alaba is considered almost certain to play, despite the fact he isn't close to full fitness.
Carlo Ancelotti couldn't have asked for a worse moment for this mini-crisis to hit the Spanish giants, although every expectation is that the Italian will turn to Federico Valverde to partner Toni Kroos and Luka Modric in midfield, as he so often has during this European run.
