Barcelona desperately need to start winning matches if they are to finish in the top four this season.

Head coach Xavi Hernández is well aware of it and his team, will be looking to take three points when they visit Alavés on Sunday after successive defeats in two separate tournaments.

Meanwhile, Alavés have recorded two draws and one defeat since Jose Luis Mendilíbar replaced Javier Calleja at the helm.

The hosts, who are bidding to secure a sixth straight campaign in the top flight, were knocked out of the Copa del Rey in the middle of December, are sitting 19th with 17 points, picking up only two points if their last five LaLiga matches.
