Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has admitted the club's top priority is not being relegated from Serie A this season following their sensational points deduction.
Italy's most decorated club were docked a staggering 15 points by the national football federation (FIGC) following an investigation into their transfer dealings.
The prosecutor of the case alleged that the club had misrepresented losses in the period between 2018 and 2020, particularly regarding the amount ascribed to player sales.
At the time of the decision, Juventus were third in Serie A, 10 points adrift of leaders Napoli.
Now, Allegri's side find themselves in 13th place with just 23 points to their name as they sit nine points above the relegation zone.
Allegri has switched his attention from a top-four push and title challenge to a relegation fight.
'The fact is that we have 23 points. We have to reach 40 points which avoids relegation, it makes me laugh, but that's how it is. The first objective is to catch those ahead of us,' he said.
'To give ourselves goals now is unthinkable. Now we have to reach the team ahead of us and climb slowly.
'Tomorrow, we have to win because in the last three league games we've only scored one point.'
Juventus drew 3-3 with Atalanta and lost to Monza 2-0 after a humiliating 5-1 thumping by Serie A leaders Napoli.
After the defeat to Monza, Allegri also mentioned the prospect of a relegation fight, with the club in a precarious position amid the scandal.
Allegri will be determined to get back to winning ways when they face 16th-placed Salernitana away from home on Tuesday.
