Dele Alli has hired a personal nutritionist and taken up yoga in a bid to cure his frustrating injury problems.

The Tottenham midfielder is now heavily scrutinising the food he eats as he looks to regain full fitness after suffering four hamstring injuries in the last 18 months.

Alli is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to leave his injury problems behind him and is exploring various different reasons as to why his left hamstring has become problematic.

The 23-year-old is now on a high protein, low sugar diet, while he is undertaking regular yoga sessions to increase his muscular mobility.

Alli was left out of Gareth Southgate's latest England squad, his omission primarily down to his recent injury problems.

He will spend the international break working on conditioning his body, while Spurs medics believe his omission from the England squad will benefit Alli in the long run as he looks to reach full fitness.

There has been a frustration that Alli has been wrongly pinned as a player with too many off field distractions.

However, despite his numbers sponsorship deals, Alli's only commerce appearance this season was on Spurs' behalf to promote their partnership with Hugo Boss.
