Amad Diallo bagged a hat-trick of assists and a goal in an exhilarating 6-4 victory for Manchester United's U23 side over Blackburn Rovers.

The £37m man made a bright start to life on Sunday scoring two goals for the U23's in a 6-3 win over Liverpool - which included an incredible panenka penalty.

Against Blackburn, the new signing from Atalanta made a valuable contribution as his side came from 4-2 down to win 6-4.

Shola Shoretire bagged a hat-trick in the victory - all of Diallo assists, while Jordan Hugill and Hannibal Mejbri also got onto the scoresheet.

Diallo made his first goal contribution after 39 minutes when he squared the ball from the right flank to Shoretire to net his first goal to make it 2-2 going into half-time.

The second half started miserably for United, who were 4-2 down after 56 minutes. But in a matter of a five minute spell later in the half, the Red Devils swung the game in their favour.

Diallo again worked well with Shoretire setting up the 17-year-old to get his second goal of the match after 73 minutes.

Hugill who scored four against Liverpool made it 4-4 one minute later, before Diallo made it a hat-trick of assists laid on a plate for Shoretire to get his hat-trick after 78 minutes.

Diallo got the goal his performance deserved after 85 minutes with a fine volley to seal a magnificent comeback win.

United agreed a £37million deal with Atalanta for the Ivorian teenager in October, but Diallo only began training at Carrington in January after being granted a visa.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Diallo could be ready for senior action sooner than he thought after making a good impression in training.

The United boss said last month: 'I can't see it being too long until he's in the squad. He's definitely settled down well. The players have taken to him, he's a good character, polite, smiley boy who works really hard.

'He's doing his sessions and getting used to us. There's always a period of adjustment needed but he's settling in well.

'He can handle the ball, he's enjoyed training and he makes a difference in training, which is quite remarkable at his age.'

With his current form it may not be too long before Solskjaer adds his name to the first-team squad.
