Manchester United's Amad Diallo has deleted a like he left on a Sunderland fan post on X - formerly Twitter - telling him to return to his former club because of his lack of opportunities at Old Trafford.
The Ivorian recently returned to full fitness from a long-term injury and is keen to get his senior United career fully up and running following a stop-start few years since his arrival.
Big things were expected of Diallo's potential when he landed in Manchester following a £37million transfer from Serie A three-years ago during Ole Solskjaer's managerial reign.
A season-long loan spell at Sunderland in the Championship last season saw Amad, 21, star for the Black Cats with 14 goals and 42 appearances in all competitions as he helped the club reach the play-offs.
However, he has been limited to just one appearance for United this season and was left out of the matchday squad for Sunday's FA Cup fourth round victory over League Two side, Newport.
The post by an anonymous online X account read: 'Here, Amad Diallo - if they’re not going to start you in the FA Cup away at Newport County it really really isn’t worth you giving them your time.
'Come home, come somewhere you are truly appreciated . . .'.
The like from Amad's official Twitter account appears to have since unliked his interaction with the post.
