Ruben Amorim says he is only worried about Manchester United's position in the table and not his job after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Tottenham on Sunday.
James Maddison scored the winner in the 13th minute to help Spurs leapfrog United in the table, leaving Amorim's side down in 15th having suffered back-to-back defeats.
United have lost eight of their last 12 Premier League games (W3 D1); since the first game in this spell (December 4 v Arsenal), the only sides to lose more matches in the competition are the current bottom two, Leicester City (nine) and Southampton (10).
Overall this term, United have lost 12 of their 25 top-flight matches (W8 D5), their most defeats at this stage of a league campaign since 1973-74 (13).
They had chances to equalise, with Alejandro Garnacho leading the charge, though he sent a glorious opening blazing over the bar shortly after Maddison had opened the scoring.
"It was the difference of the game, they scored, and we didn't," Amorim told BBC Match of the Day.
"We had the opportunities. We had situations in transitions, trying to get a result, but in the end, they scored, and we didn't.
"I am not worried. I understand our fans; and what the media think about it. I hate to lose, that feeling is the worst.
"The rest I am not thinking about. I am here to help my players. I understand my situation, my job, I am confident on my work, and I just want to win games.
"The place in the table is my worry. I am not worried about me."
United were plagued by injuries in the build-up to this match, with Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo ruled out, and Amorim worried the latter may be ruled out for the rest of the season.
It left Victor Lindelof as the sole senior player on the bench, with Amorim only making one substitution, which came in the 91st minute.
By replacing Casemiro, Chido Obi-Martin became United's third-youngest ever Premier League player (17 years, 79 days), behind only Angel Gomes (16y 263d) and Shola Shoretire (17y 19d).
Asked why he opted not to give the youngsters a more significant chance, Amorim said: "It is the hardest competition in the world. I am trying to be careful with them [the youngsters].
"I felt the team was pushing for the goal and I felt I don't want to change. But they will play.
"You try to read the game, and understand what you see in training. The team were pushing for the goal, and I didn't feel the need to change.
"We want to recover the players. I think we can recover some players for the next game. We have to be together to finish the season and start over."

Why didn’t managers before him succeed with it ?
What he did after arriving at Man utd is what some of Man utd's other managers did and led to their dismiss due to poor performance, I will start with David Moyes he found a club full of old players who were under a guidance of only one coach for years and some throughout their careers so they it was hard for him manage these players. Louis Van Gaal it was playing style and Tactics, he started with 3-4-3 and it never worked for him later he changed to 4-2-3-1 with possessive football where his players could score in final third only which is hard in EPL but he could in possession but results were poor. Jose Mourinho's problem wasn't cooperative with some of his players which led him to loss the dress room(lossing players attention), Solskjaer I think this guy lacked experience of managing a big football club and he could undermine some of his players that's why he used to take long in a match to make substitutes he could do his first substitute in 80+ min, And the major problem which even led the his(Solskjaer) poor performance is the return of CR7 to Man utd, since he was appointed as Man utd manager (2018) he was finished in the Top 4 + Europa league final against Villarreal which they lost to penalties he was coaching well, when Ronaldo came they finished 6th and went to Europa League, the following season he was sacked after lossing 4-1 to Watford at Vicarage road. Erik Ten Hag it was player favouritism which made him to loss the dress room, he used to favour some players and could bench a good player and start a struggling player, he could not bench a player he bought even if is off-form, as you saw against farnabahce where he brought off-form Antony off the bench and replaced Marcus rashford after some minutes he was brought off while injured. Lastly Amorim's problem he talks too much than searching where the problem could be and his stubbornness will cause Man utd more problems if they don't find a solution earlier, 3-4-2-1 can't work England and Spain. If is much of defensive football then he should use 3-5-2 as conte did at Chelsea when his Wingbacks don't over move forward but you are using 3-4-2-1. in EPL you need to be with wingers where are his wingers in this formation, here you weaken your Wingbacks b'se are the one you want to work as your wingers and at the same time are the ones you want to cover when they are taking on counter attack. SORRY IT IS TOO LONG, BUT THAT'S IT BRO!

Manunited must bring back Erik Ten Hag. He was good for the club
How is he the worst coach? When the players are on the field, can't be able to make use of their chance to score goals. Both the one of Garnacho. I feel sad when seeing they miss a good chance. It's happening, but sacrifice and hard work pay off in the end. It's just time they are going to make the fans proud. I believe in Red Devil

He's doing okay at least he's exposing the problems which the management should back him up in trying to solve the problem long term otherwise we will be going back and forth if we continue trying to play to players strengths that are not even strong enough

Amorim is the worst coach even Ten hag was better and the problem he's behaving like he's the founder of Manchester United or the owner , Raticliffe coming to the team also has caused more harm than good , I think now the Glazer family is now happy that they got what they needed bringing in trouble giving Raticliffe shares in the club, if Amorim can't change his system let him resign and leave the team without the coach than pushing it to relegation. what type of coach is that who doesn't have plan B , the system of back 3 has failed to work change, why are you so arrogant mr Amorim? the team has become a total trash under Amorim's management, even Bruno Fernandez as the team captain has nothing to prove himself as a captain. if the senior team has failed get some payers from the academy, but you put them on bench and you fail to use them that means you are the biggest problem who can't fix anything.
