Antoine Hackford became Sheffield United's youngest ever Premier League player when he made his debut in the 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.
The talented young forward entered the fray in the 80th minute at Selhurst Park and had a shot saved.
Hackford has the honour of being Sheffield United's youngest ever Premier League player.
In addition, the prospect became the first player born in 2004 to play in the English top flight.
Hackford, who featured at the age of 16 years and 288 days, is Sheffield United's second youngest player overall behind Louis Reed, who was aged 16 years and 257 days when he played in League One in 2014.
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder only named six substitutes, with his squad having been ravaged by injuries and illness.
A fast and skilful player, Hackford will now be hoping for further opportunities.
Hackford has been capped by England at Under-15 and Under-16 levels, while he is also eligible to represent Trinidad & Tobago.
Sheffield United's defeat means that they have taken just two points from 17 games so far this season.
