Arda Turan: Messi is the best player; I want my contract with Barca to continue

Speaking to a Turkish media, former Barcelona player Arda Turan talked about his contractual situation and the moment he currently lives.

“I am now a Barcelona player because of the contract.  It was a mutual decision. I wanted my contract with Barça to continue,” explained Arda Turan.

In the same interview, Arda Turan also talks about the most special title he has won as a footballer. 

“Frankly it was an exceptional success for me. We won the league with Atlético against Real Madrid with Ronaldo and Barça with Messi. It was a fantastic season. ”

Arda Turan has no doubt about the best footballer he has played with in his career. 

“It is not necessary to say anything else about Messi. He is the best player I've ever seen. I also admire Iniesta, for his skills. In Atlético, Koke is a very important player. He has managed to be in the first team in Atlético and has become a leader. I was impressed by its growth, ”he said.

Another of the players who took the praise of Arda Turan was Radamel Falcao, which also coincided with Atlético de Madrid. 

“He is an exceptional forward. I said the same when I was injured. I talked to him a couple of times over the phone to sign for Galatasaray. Right now he has to do what he has to do as a striker, scoring goals. It is one of the best in the world. I always help him. I invited him to my birthday with his family and we celebrated it together, ”he said.
