Arne Slot is expected to continue as Liverpool head coach next season, Sky Sports News understands, as the club close in on Champions League qualification.
Any doubts about the Dutchman's future appear to be subsiding rapidly as a seven-point gap has opened up between Liverpool in fifth place and Chelsea in sixth.
Fifth place will secure Champions League football next season after Arsenal's progression to the semi-finals - and Liverpool's form has picked up while Chelsea are slipping.

I think sacking a manager in the season he is building his squad with major overhaul of players and expected passing and exits would be madness more so after that manager lead us to the 20th title in his first season with a squad not built by him. Many managers would have started making changes last season and how many managers got a good team and went on to win trophies with that team in the first season? So he as to be a good manager. Fans are just losing their mines.

You have some points though. Well, let's hope he proves everybody wrong. Sometimes quality players make a coach look great. If he is able to get a good replacement for SALLAH which is very difficult, he may do well. Get another player to be deputizing for GRAVABENCH, get a very good left winger, a natural left winger, not GAPKO or WIRTZ, then if he doesn't trust CHIESA, get two right wingers. RIO will deputize for any good one coming on d left wing. Maybe God will help him 🤷

ISAK was injured, FRIMPONG, BRADLEY, ALISSON, EKITIKE, they lost DIOGO JOTA, the club didn't do well to keep LUIZ DIAZ... VIRGIL VAN DIJK & KONOTE not on form, FORIAN WIRTZ & GAPKO not on form, MOHAMMED SALLAH was not on form & also he won EPL in his first season as manager. They need to give him one last chance to see if he was unfortunate or dt he is not FIT for Liverpool. I actually thought Liverpool will sack him too but, I guess SECOND CHANCE is what they decided to give him. 🤷
