Arsenal moved eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the Premier League on Sunday following their impressive 2-0 win over arch-rivals Tottenham Hotspur on the road.
Mikel Arteta’s side now have a healthy eight-point lead over City at the top of the table, but they still face a huge challenge on their hands to lift the title. Let’s have a look at Arsenal’s next six league games compared to their top-four rivals.
Arsenal – 1st (47 points)
Manchester United (home) – January 22 Everton (away) – February 4 Brentford (home) – February 11 Manchester City (home) – February 15 Aston Villa (away) – February 18 Leicester City (away) – February 25
Verdict
Arsenal ended a nine-year wait for an away league win at Tottenham yesterday. The Gunners have now picked up 25 points from a possible 30 on their travels.
Their record stands out from their top-four rivals. Manchester City are currently the second-best team on the road with a tally of 17 points from nine matches. Looking at this statistic, we fancy the Gunners to continue the excellent away form against the likes of Everton, Aston Villa as well as Leicester City.
Their main challenge, however, could be at the Emirates Stadium where they face Manchester United, Brentford and Manchester City. The Bees should not pose much of a threat for the Gunners, but the club will have to be at their best to get the better of United and City on their home turf.
Manchester City – 2nd (39 points)
Tottenham Hotspur (home) – January 19 Wolves (home) – January 22 Tottenham Hotspur (away) – February 5 Aston Villa (away) – February 12 Arsenal (away) – February 15 Nottingham Forest (away) – February 18
Newcastle United – 3rd (38 points)
Crystal Palace (away) – January 21 West Ham United (home) – February 4 Bournemouth (away) – February 11 Liverpool (home) – February 18 Brighton (home) – February 25 Manchester City (away) – March 4
Manchester United – 4th (38 points)
Crystal Palace (away) – January 18 Arsenal (away) – January 22 Crystal Palace (home) – February 4 Leeds United (away) – February 12 Leicester City (home) – February 19 Brentford (home) – February 26

Utd fans are quite funny, they are 9 points behind Arsenal, yet G.Neville is making them to hallucinate about finishing above Arsenal. By the time Arsenal beat them at the Emirates, it'll be 12pts gap. Coupled with the fact that utd have numerous games.....extra 2 games in EFL cup and 2 UEL playoff.
