Arsenal progressed to the quarter-finals of the Europa League after a 3-0 home win against Rennes sealed a 4-3 aggregate victory.
With the Ligue 1 side leading 3-1 from the first leg, Aubameyang and Ainsley Maitland-Niles scored in the first 15 minutes of Thursday's return to draw Arsenal level on aggregate.
Rennes had chances to snatch a last-eight spot at Emirates Stadium on Thursday, with M'Baye Niang cracking a strike against the post at 3-3, but Aubameyang struck again in the 72nd minute.

Imagine if a team from the Premier League wins the Champions and Europa Leagues. English Teams are really doing well in the Champions League and also in the Europa League. It's a good sign of improvement for the Premier League.

A shaky second half for Arsenal but Rennes didn't take the best opportunity from it as they were concentrating more on making a psychological impact that was somewhat working as Arsenal weren't playing their best anymore but after substitutions the Gunners got another goal for themselves. The defenders were finally functioning properly which is a breath of fresh air for the Gunners.I still have concern about Cech because if luck wasn't with his side today then things would have been different, he needs to up his game and take influence from Ramsey who's playing his last season with Arsenal too but is leaving such a huge impact.Kolasinac and Micki were sublime and Auba missed some golden chances in the end which could have increased his tally more.A case of redemption for the Gunners too as they go through the next round of Europa League and heartbreak for Rennes who got so close to be heroes and cause an ultimate upset.By the way that Auba's second goal celebration, mimicking Black Panther was very creative.

I guess Emery is finally realizing the value and quality of Ozil. Ozil was given his third consecutive starting first time this season, or sth... But I didn't really watch the match, so how did he really impact the game?

That was terrible officiating tbh. Both teams got screwed at times but the team worse effected was Rennes where the Maitland-Niles goal was played in from an offside position. I never want to hear an Arsenal fan say they dont get decisions their way cos they get the most from what I seen. This was a tough game but it was clear Arsenal would come out on top.
