Arsenal: Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli commits to until summer 2027 with new deal

Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new four-and-a-half year contract at Arsenal.

The new deal keeps the Brazilian winger at the Emirates Stadium until the summer of 2027, in a significant boost to manager Mikel Arteta.

Martinelli, 21, has been a key player for the Premier League leaders so far this season.

He reportedly agreed terms with the North London side last week, but has now put pen to paper with the Gunners and secured his long-term future at the club.

The six-cap international's contract was set to expire in summer 2024, though the club had the option to extend it for a further two years.

Martinelli has scored seven goals in 19 Premier League appearances this season and has 25 in 111 matches in all competitions since joining from Brazilian side Ituano in July 2019.
