Manchester City and Arsenal are locked in an intense Premier League title race in the final month of the season, with Man City's final five games in a 15-day spell potentially decisive in the title challenge

Manchester City and Arsenal know there's a crucial 15-day spell that will determine their Premier League title race in the campaign's closing stages. Arsenal's victory over Newcastle United at the weekend saw the Gunners return to the summit.

A strike from Eberechi Eze secured three vital points for Arsenal, but City now possess a game in hand following their FA Cup commitments at the weekend. Pep Guardiola's side overcame Championship outfit Southampton beneath the Wembley Arch to book an FA Cup final showdown with Chelsea.

The two top-flight sides will lock horns at Wembley on May 16, in what could prove a pivotal stretch of fixtures for City. Arsenal remain active in the Champions League, which could serve as a helpful distraction from a City viewpoint.

Guardiola's squad have just six matches remaining, while Arteta's outfit could face seven fixtures. The Gunners resume Premier League duties at the weekend when they face Fulham, but City will enjoy a few additional days' rest before they tackle Everton.

The schedule intensifies after the first weekend in May. Guardiola's team welcome Brentford on May 9th, and must navigate five matches within a 15-day window if you include that encounter against the Bees.

City had put forward the option of travelling to Bournemouth three days before the final day of the Premier League season, but that was turned down as part of five separate proposals to resolve their fixture congestion. The club are believed to be frustrated about two lengthy away trips within the space of four days.

For Arsenal, they'll have just three top-flight fixtures to contest in the same period, but could also have a Champions League Final looming if they navigate a two-legged tie with Atletico Madrid over the next fortnight.
