Premier League clubs including title rivals Arsenal and Manchester City are watching Denmark’s England-eligible starlet Tristan Aldcroft Panduro.
Midfielder Panduro is rated as one of Denmark’s best young talents and captains their under-16s, doing so most recently in a four-team friendly international competition in Alicante during the last week.
Scouts from clubs across Europe were in Spain to run the rule over 15 year-old Panduro in games against Netherlands, Mexico and Saudi Arabia who he scored against on Sunday to help Denmark win the tournament.
Panduro is coming through the ranks at Scandinavia’s biggest club FC Copenhagen, Manchester United’s Champions League group rivals, and playing above his age for their under-17s.
But he is not expected to remain in Denmark long term in light of the interest in him and size of his talent.
While he is currently starring for his country of birth Panduro also qualifies to play for England through his mother.
And were any interest to emerge from the Football Association it would set up a second battle between the two countries for a highly-rated teenage prospect.
Arsenal’s striker Chido Obi Martin, 15, who scored 10 goals in one game for the Gunners against Liverpool last week, is also in the Danish setup.
But he has represented England at youth level too and the FA are looking into luring him back.
