Arsenal and rival fans have slated the Gunners for their woeful performance in a 2-0 defeat to Newcastle that saw their top-four chances suffer an enormous blow.
The Gunners failed to overtake Tottenham into fourth place in the Premier League after Ben White's own goal and Bruno Guimaraes's late strike saw Eddie Howe's team snatch all three points at St James's Park.
Mikel Arteta's side have now seemingly all but thrown away a Champions League spot that once looked guaranteed.
Gunners fans were quick to criticise their display in the North East, claiming the players should be ashamed of their performance.
Taking to social media, Arsenal supporter posted: 'Not one of these players can hold their heads up tonight.'
However, one fan admitted the Gunners' display proved they were not ready to return to the Champions League after six years in the wilderness.
'Arsenal are not yet ready for Champions League Football, we lack the mentality and resilience that's the bottom line,' they wrote.
Rival supporters were quick to join in on the criticism as they questioned the north London side's passion and spirit.
One football fan said: 'Arsenal are just too terrible you wonder whether they have players who really have a fighting spirit in them. Terrible.'
Meanwhile, another conceded it had been difficult to follow Barcelona through their rollercoaster season but could not imagine the struggle of supporting the Gunners.
'Being Barca fan is hard but never as hard as being an Arsenal fan,' they shared.
The Emirates faithful also singled out individual players with Nicolas Pepe, who signed for the Gunners on a £72million transfer in 2019, and Cedric Soares bearing the brunt of the criticism.
'Jesus Christ, Pepe might genuinely be one of our worst signings ever,' one fan tweeted, while another demanded the club never play the duo again.
Other football fans echoed the Arsenal fanbase's opinion as one was also scathing of Martin Odegaard and Gabriel Martinelli.
'What is Pepe still doing in an Arsenal's shirt,' they questioned. 'Odegaard is too lazy. Martinelli makes terrible decisions with the football. Arsenal will be playing in the Europa league next season.'
A Liverpool supporter did not hesitate to rub salt in the wound as they felt the need to remind Arsenal that they splashed out the club's record transfer fee to bring Pepe to the Emirates.
'Gentle reminder... Pepe cost Arsenal £72m,' they posted.
Arsenal now host relegation battlers Everton on the final day of the season knowing they need a win and a defeat for Tottenham to have any chance of clinching top four.

It's not as bad as fans think. Yes we want ucl. But remember, start of season, we wouldn't be surprised if we were fighting for religation, top 10 would have been a what we expected. From there we have come a long way. We don't have the squad depth, the main reason for our inconsistencies, everytime 1 of our first 11 gets injured, we lose the next couple of matches not able to find replacement and it's fine. We have the youngest team in pl and coming as far as we have is a huge achievement. Playing europa next year will give us the time to build up and get a taste of European football, remember most of the the players have never played outside England. We need 4-7 players to strengthen the team and play in rotation, players need time to settle in. Just going to ucl and lose 7-0 doesn't make sense, it's better we play europa and go for the trophy cause we are not going to be competing for ucl even if we make it there. Yes we want ucl but our season isn't as bad as we think. Let's back our team and support our youngsters that have shown so much heat and been brilliant on the pitch.
