Arsenal transfer news: The Gunners have been linked with AC Milan's Theo Hernandez despite Oleksandr Zinchenko's incredible debut season at the club

Arsenal have been linked with AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez in recent days after news of Nuno Tavares' struggles on loan at Marseille.

Tavares was sent out to the Ligue 1 side in the summer following the arrival of Oleksandr Zinchenjo from Manchester City. The former Benfica man had initially impressed in France and has made 33 appearances this season. But in recent weeks, he's been in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

With Kieran Tierney's future remaining unclear, Arsenal may consider a move in the summer transfer window for a new left-back. Reports from Italy claim that the Gunners had been surprisingly linked with Milan's Hernandez, with Calciomercato.it suggesting Zinchenko could be included as part of the deal to lure the France international.

Despite the link with Hernandez, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has suggested the left-back is 'untouchable' for the Rossoneri. The Italian has claimed only a crazy transfer fee would convince Milan to let Hernandez go.

“Theo Hernandez is almost untouchable at this stage, Milan would not even consider €50m or €60m bids for him. Crucial player who could only leave for crazy money,” Romano said.

He added: “No decision has been made on Nuno Tavares yet, it will be discussed in May/June with his agents.”
