On March 3, according to data platform Opta, Arsenal has the slowest corner kick execution speed in the entire Premier League this season. The team's average corner kick attack takes 44 seconds, the longest of any Premier League team this season.

Furthermore, according to Opta statistics, Arsenal's total time spent on corner kicks this season has exceeded two hours, averaging approximately 4 minutes and 18 seconds per match.

In a recent interview, Brighton manager Hürzeler, who will be leading his team against Arsenal, stated that he believes the football world needs to significantly modify certain rules when planning future football regulations to limit the Gunners' time-wasting tactics. He bluntly stated that no one seems to notice a phenomenon – Arsenal sometimes takes more than a minute to take a corner kick when they are leading. He indicated that the core issue is to establish clear rules limiting how long corner kicks, throw-ins, and free kicks can be delayed. However, Hürzeler also admitted that he understands these rules won't change immediately, so the team is aware of how important set pieces will be in the upcoming match.
