On July 10, according to Italian journalist Schira, Arsenal plans to offer €90 million for Guimaraes, while Newcastle United is asking for €120 million.
Schira stated: "Exclusive news – Arsenal plans to make a €90 million bid to try and sign Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle. Newcastle is unwilling to sell the midfielder and is demanding a €120 million transfer fee. Guimaraes wants to leave Newcastle United and is actively pushing for a move to Arsenal, with both parties having agreed to personal terms until 2031. "
Guimaraes, currently 28 years old, has a market value of €70 million according to Transfermarkt, and his contract with Newcastle runs until 2028.

Ridiculous price, personally due to his age 29 in October, 80ml maximum is still risky. Kone is 25 and can possibly be a better all round midfielder. We need quality players for rotation. We have Rice Zubimendi, MLS, and Merino, we have got to invest offensively particularly at left wing. The transfer market has gone crazy.
