Arsenal are considering a move for Sporting Lisbon winger Gelson Martins.
That is according to Portuguese outlet O Jogo, who say the Gunners are weighing up a summer swoop for the flier.
Martins notched 13 goals and laid on a further 13 for his teammates as Sporting finished third in the Portuguese top flight.
Sporting are understandably keen to hold on to one of their most prized assets, but tensions are running high at the club after president Bruno de Carbalho threatened to suspend 19 squad members through Facebook in April.
Unai Emery is seeking a wide player as he bids to improve on Arsenal's sixth-placed finish next term.
Martins is under contract until 2022 and has a £52.7million release clause.
"Agent Laca!" Arsenal fans get excited at transfer links to Alexandre Lacazette's former Lyon team-mate
Arsenal fans are getting excited after the club was linked to Bayern Munich star Correntin Tolisso, writes Football.London's Rob Guest.
Tolisso made a big impact at the Allianz Arena during his debut campaign, after moving from Lyon in a £35million move last summer.
The 23-year-old was actually linked with a move to the Emirates 12 months ago, yet he ended up moving to the Bundesliga champions instead, report football.london.
However, CalcioInsider now claim that the Gunners are once again interested in the midfielder and new manager Unai Emery is believed to be a big fan.
Given Tolisso, who has been named in France's squad for the World Cup, impressed after his big-money move, it looks highly unlikely that Bayern will let him depart despite the arrival of Leon Goretzka.
While a number of Arsenal fans believe that a summer move for the talented midfielder won't happen, many have called on the club to bring him to north London before the transfer deadline.
Midfield is an area that the club are likely to strengthen this summer, with Nice star Jean Seri believed to be a potential target.
With many believing that the Frenchman could be a major hit at the club, some feel that Alexandre Lacazette could play a huge role in luring him to the capital following their time together at Lyon.
Arsenal learn from mistakes of Manchester United by 'inserting break clause in Unai Emery's contract'
Arsenal appear to have learned from mistakes made by Manchester United when they drew up Unai Emery's contract, writes Mirror Football's Aaron Flanagan.
Emery became the first new Arsenal boss for 22 years when he replaced Arsene Wenger earlier this month.
The Spaniard signed a three-year deal with the Gunners - but The Times claim the contract has a break clause allowing them to dismiss him one year early without paying the remainder of his wages.
United had a disastrous time following the end of Sir Alex Ferguson's illustrious reign as mnager.
They handed David Moyes a mammoth six-year contract, only to sack him before the end of his first season at the club
It proved to be an expensive mistake for United, who were forced to give the Scotsman a bumper pay day leave his role.
Arsenal are determined not to fall into a similar trap if Emery's reign does not work out, hence the inclusion of the clause in his deal.

Just stop linking other players just sign sokratis and lichsteiner and tolliso then finish we only have 70 million in the transfer market to spend so stop wasting time and sign someone that’s easy to sign like Lichtensteinr who is a free transfer

Gelson Martins is really a good player.....worth buying.....as emery likes to attack from the sides.....he will be a perfect winger for Arsenal both right as well as left wing.....and second thing he is mature enough now....so if possible and if in budget then they must buy him
