Arsenal Women cruised to a 5-1 victory in the Champions League over Danish side HB Koge, who are winless in the competition so far this term.

The win takes Jonas Eidevall's side to second in Group C, three points behind defending champions Barcelona, while Koge are shackled to rock bottom after three consecutive defeats.

Nikita Parris saw a penalty saved early in the first half as Koge goalkeeper Kaylan Marckese guessed correctly and blocked to her right.

But Parris redeemed herself as she won a free-kick around 20 yards from the Koge goal to tee up Arsenal's breakthrough goal. Australian defender Steph Catley clipped it over the home wall right into the top right corner to open the scoring.

The England forward looked the most dangerous player on the pitch and found the net with a strike of her own in the second-half.

The game seemed over when Caitlin Foord added a third with just over 20 minutes left to play. The Australian forward nodded home after Jordan Nobbs' shot rebounds the bar.

Koge clawed one back through Maddie Pokorny. The American waltzed through the visitors' defence and calmly slotted the ball into the bottom left corner, scoring Koge's first-ever Women's Champions League goal. But Arsenal finished with a flourish as Anna Patten and Nobbs struck for the Gunners to put them 5-1 up.
