Arsenal have been very busy so far this summer and Reiss Nelson and Fabio Vieira could leave the club, with the Gunners in talks with two clubs over potential deals
Arsenal are reportedly in talks over deals to offload two of their players, with Fulham interested in re-signing Reiss Nelson and Parma keen on Fabio Vieira. Arsenal have already spent more than £70million this summer on Martin Zubimendi, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
And their spending is set to total more than £200m once, as expected, deals for Viktor Gyokeres, Noni Madueke and Cristhian Mosquera are also completed. As a result, the Gunners are keen to balance their books and a number of outgoings are expected.
Nuno Tavares and Marquinhos made permanent moves to Lazio and Cruzeiro respectively last month, having spent last season at those clubs on loan, while Jorginho, Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey and Takehiro Tomiyasu have all been released.
According to a new report from the Times, Nelson and Vieira could be the next two players to leave the Emirates. Nelson's loan move to Fulham last season was cut short by a hamstring injury and it is claimed they want to bring him back to Craven Cottage this summer.
Fulham are said to be eyeing another loan deal for Nelson, whose Arsenal deal is worth £100,000 per week and runs until June 2027. Fulham boss Marco Silva is a big fan of the winger, stating after he was ruled out for the season: "It's a really tough moment for us.
"Of course, first of all, for the player, we feel really sorry for him, because he worked really hard to be back after the first hamstring injury. It was a moment that we all were excited about him coming back, because he was really important for us before the injury last December.
"He did so, so well, and we know that in his best level he is capable to help us to win football matches and to be stronger. When he was really ready to be in contention again for the game, he felt the other hamstring in the other leg.
"Not the same injury, completely different injury in the other leg. He got surgery there, and could be out until the end of the season. I don't want to give a timescale that is 100 per cent sure, but it could be out until the end of the season, unfortunately for him, and for us.
"When he was ready and was there, you can feel his quality, and you can see that he's a player that fits really well, understood well what we need from him. Very good guy, good lad, and another one that makes our dressing room be at the level that I like to see, and the environment and the friendship that's inside."
Vieira, meanwhile, could be set to link up with former Arsenal assistant coach Carlos Cuesta at Parma. Cuesta left Arsenal to become Parma's new head coach last month and it is claimed that the Gunners want £20m for the midfielder.
