Arsenal legend Sol Campbell says Chris Smalling should stay with AS Roma.
Off contract in June, Smalling has fielded interest from Inter Milan.
But Campbell told TMW: "Smalling left Manchester United and went to a big club like Roma.
"Yes, he could come back, I read the rumours, but he's in a big club. Roma is not a small club: it's true, and I understand, that the Premier League has its lights, its charm, but there's not always a need to go back.
"Sometimes you do it for the family, for non-football reasons, but there's no need to do it otherwise for football reasons."
