Arsenal legend Freddie Ljungberg made a return to the Emirates on Monday night 11 years after his last appearance, this time as coach of the club's under-23s side.
The winger made 325 appearances for the club between 1998 and 2007, scoring 72 goals and winning two Premier League titles.
He rejoined the club in June as part of new boss Unai Emery's restructuring of the backroom staff, and on Monday night led the club's under-23s side against Brighton.
Ljungberg was part of the 2003-2004 Invincibles side, finding the net four times in 30 Premier League games.
He left the club in 2007, joining London rivals West Ham for a one-year spell at Upton Park.
After that he moved to Seattle Sounders and Chicago Fire, before returning to Europe with Celtic in 2011.
He made just 11 league appearances, moving on to Shimizu S-Pulse in Japan and anouncing his retirement in 2012.
He briefly came out of retirement to join Mumbai City and promote the new Indian Super League, finishing his playing career for good in 2014.
After his retirement aged 37, Ljungberg worked within Arsenal's age groups until moving to Wolfsburg in 2017.
He served as No 2 to former Gunners' academy coach Andries Jonker until his sacking just seven months later.
Ljungberg cut an animated figure on the sidelines of an almost-empty Emirates Stadium, issuing instructions to his young charges as they toiled for a breakthrough.
Young striker Eddie Nketiah came close to scoring in either half, while Joe Willock also fired an effort over.
With promising youngster Emile Smith-Rowe dictating proceedings, it appeared inevitable Arsenal would carve a breakthrough.
However, they had to wait until the 88th minute, when Reiss Nelson curled home impressively from range.
The lead was to last just two minutes, with Brighton substitute Aaron Connolly popping up with the late leveller.
The result means Ljungberg's young charges are still looking for their first win of the new Premier League 2 season, having lost their opening fixture 6-5 away to Manchester City.
'I'm delighted to be returning to the club,' Ljungberg told Arsenal's official websiteafter being unveiled in June. 'Arsenal has always been a special place for me and I'm really excited at this opportunity to work with our Under-23 team.
'I look forward to working with the talented young players we have at the club. I know many of them well and will work hard to help them continue developing and become the best players and people they can be.'

We have a lot of young talent coming through. wish maitland niles wasn't injured. I would stick him in alongside guandouzi and torreira. Would add that bit of flare and true pace to the midfield.

He's very very good!! He coached my son when he was at arsenal and my son couldn't stop praising him. So I do think he'll be a great coach/manager in the future.
