How the Gunners got on individually in their Premier League clash with the Toffees at Goodison Park in the Premire League
David Raya: Hardly called upon to make any saves but was composed in possession. When Everton offered a rare press, he was a good release valve. Confident enough debut. 6.
Ben White: Some nice overlapping to support Saka when he was doubled up on. Not at his best in possession though and gave the ball away cheaply on occasion. 6.
William Saliba: Dealt well with Beto when the Everton forward got forward on rare occasions. Was alert throughout as the Toffees got forward more after the goal. 7.
Gabriel: Wound up the home fans with some play-acting, but was good overall. Another solid display from the Brazilian though who coped well with the physical challenge Everton posed. 6.
Oleksandr Zinchenko: With Everton providing a brick wall for Arsenal to overcome, the Ukrainian's chiselling passes were crucial. A few balls over the top threatened to open up the game, before a slide rule pass to Saka finally did the trick in the build up to Trossard's goal. 8.
Declan Rice: Solid at the base of the midfield. Did his usual job of intercepting high to ensure that Everton were consistently smothered by Arsenal pressure. 7.
Martin Odegaard: As Arsenal tried something different from corners, Odegaard's quick feet were crucial. Even if he wasn't at his most influential, it was this that ultimately won them the game. 7.
Fabio Vieira: Towards the end of last season Vieira looked a shadow of a player. Now he looks like a man who is well and truly feeling himself. The Portuguese was superb constantly alternating with his left winger and providing intricate balls through the tightly packed Everton defence. Not afraid to give his teammates a bit of a yelling at either. All that was missing was a goal. 8.
Bukayo Saka: Was a little quiet in the first half but instantly impacted the game more in the second. His cutback to Trossard was crucial. His legs must be made of concrete with how he was able to withstand some brutal Everton tackles. 7.
Eddie Nketiah: Started off well with some nice flicks on the edge of the box. Faded a little as the game went on though. Wasn't too surprising to see him taken off. 6.
Gabriel Martinelli: Unlucky to see a superb finish ruled out for offside. Taken off with what looked like a hamstring issue just minutes later. 6.
SUBSTITUTES -
Leandro Trossard: Was clumsy on the ball on a few occasions after coming on for Martinelli in the first half. Improved massively in the second though and provided a splendid finish to win the game. 7.
Gabriel Jesus: Provided the Everton defenders with a little more to think about than Nketiah did as the game went on. You would expect him to be back in from the start next game. 6.
Takehiro Tomiyasu: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.
Kai Havertz: Came on too late to influence the game. n/a.

He's been trying his best, but is far below the level you expect of a striker at the top level. You probably haven't reviewed the game to see his positioning and time taken on the ball when in the box. I like the guy's confidence and hold up play, but there's room for him to improve before it's too late.
I understand your point but at least you can’t use only one game to jodge him yet. Hojlund could not even find a space in Brighton box yesterday. And he is a very solid striker for Man U. Nketiah is giving his best and still pushing hard I believe he I can and he will.

Well you don’t have to be complaining about Nketiah performance for now because he has been doing well everyday is not Christmas.

I've got serious concerns over Nketiah's positioning response to passed while inside the box. He doesn't seem to sense where a team mate should pass the ball and he's not instinctive enough. His positioning looks predictable to defenders. Also, his first touch in most cases where it's supposed to be a shot, like in the case of Trosssard's goal, isn't encouraging as he tries to overdo. I'm afraid Arteta may not continue giving Nketiah playing minutes especially if Gabriel Jesus stays fit and the like of Trosssard and Kai are getting goals.
