Arsenal are interested in a summer move for struggling Leicester loanee Cengiz Under, though they will face competition from both AC Milan and Borussia Dortmund, according to reports from Italy.

The 23-year-old has struggled to make an impression in the Premier League this season, having arrived from parent club Roma on a season-long loan deal in September last year.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, via The Mirror, the Gunners are ready to battle it out for Under's services this summer, with Roma prepared to let the attacker leave for £17.2million.

Under arrived in the Premier League having scored 17 goals in 88 appearances for Roma, though ultimately failing to lock down a place in the side, with just 13 starts in the 2019/20 Serie A campaign.

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers was delighted by the signing, revealing they had been watching the 'talented' winger, who fit the profile they were looking for - an attacker who could beat a man one-v-one and break down an orgnanised defence.

The deal included an option to buy this summer - with a fee of £22million touted - but having failed to cement his place in the side, the Turkish winger appears to be heading back to Rome instead.

Under has managed just 19 appearances in total for the Foxes, scoring twice and providing three assists, with only nine starts in all competitions.

Additionally, he has not made a league appearances since late February, and hasn't featured in any of Leicester's last three Premier League squads.

Rodgers has admitted the loan move hasn't quite gone to plan, revealing the 23-year-old has struggled to adapt to Premier League football.

He said: 'For Cengo [Cengiz], it's just adaption to the Premier League.

'He's shown moments of quality for us, but it's difficult for him because there are other players in his position that understand the Premier League.'

Despite his lack of game-time, Under could soon find himself back in the Premier League, however, with Arsenal accredited with an interest.

The reports come with Brazilian winger Willian rumoured of an imminent exit, with reports linking him to MLS side Inter Miami - though Arteta has insisted 'every player who is under contract is likely to be here with us next season'.

Speaking on his Here We Go podcast, journalist Fabrizio Romano said:  'David Luiz is 100% leaving Arsenal, but also Willian is going to leave Arsenal.

'He wants to leave, Arsenal are open to sell him, so as I said some days ago Willian is leaving.

'Willian has a contract with Arsenal, so it's a different situation, they need to wait for some proposal, but Willian is one player expected to leave Arsenal.'
