Arsenal have sealed a deal to sign 15-year-old Northern Ireland sensation Ceadach O'Neill.
O'Neill made his senior Linfield debut in November, handed his head by his country's record goalscorer, David Healy. He has attracted a host of Premier League interest. but Arsenal stole a march on rivals and have secured a deal for the end of the season.
The Northern Ireland Under-15s international starred for Arsenal at the Flamengo Adidas Cup in Brazil, playing for the club's Under-17 side. O'Neil was part of the side that played four games in South America at the end of 2023. The Gunners beat Flamengo in their opening game before losing to Sao Paulo, Atletico Nacional and Santos Laguna.
Arsenal believe the youngster will flourish in his new environment and become a real asset to the academy and he becomes the second youngster to agree a move to North London in recent weeks, with Wolves' Brayden Clarke having also signed.
The Wales Under-17s international made his Arsenal debut in the 8-3 win over Crystal Palace last weekend, having previously spent seven years on the books of their Premier League rivals.
O'Neill is. the second Linfield youngster to agree a move to a Premier League side, with Braiden Graham, 16, having agreed terms on a summer switch to Everton. OβNeill and Graham are currently with the Northern Ireland Under-17 squad for the Euro 2024 Elite round qualifiers.
