Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund target Ivan Fresneda has spoken out about his future amid interest in the Spanish right-back currently starring at Real Valladolid.

The 18-year-old has burst onto the European scene this season, producing numerous impressive performances at the 14th-placed LaLiga outfit.

Fresneda made his Spanish top-flight debut in a September defeat to Girona last year and has since gone on to make a further 18 appearances that includes clashes against Atletico and Real Madrid.

His performances have attracted attention from Premier League leader's Arsenal along with various other suitors, and now the youngster has revealed in an interview with The Athletic that he wants to play for 'one of the best teams in the world'.

'The fans have been very supportive from the moment I made my debut and they've been asking me to stay,' explained Fresneda.

'My agent keeps me very much on the sidelines. I don't really like to look at what a journalist might have written, but I've lived everything with a lot of emotion.

'I'm very grateful to the club, to the previous manager, and I'm trying to handle it as naturally as possible.

'I'm very young, I have to go step by step, not go backwards. Being the age I am, you have to keep improving and I'm doing that at Valladolid.

'Everyone would like to go to the best teams in the world and that is one of my ambitions, of course,' he added.

Fresneda has quickly become an established part of his club's bid to stay in the division and became the youngest player to make 10 appearances in LaLiga this season.

The youngster was the subject of intense transfer speculation in the January window but eventually remained at Valladolid.

However, it is likely he will leave in the summer with Valladolid reportedly open to allowing scouts to come and watch his performances throughout the current campaign.

Another possible option could be a transfer back to Real Madrid after he initially came through the club's youth system before leaving at 13.
