Tavares latest
iNews has reported that Aston Villa are exploring the possibility of taking Arsenal defender Nuno Tavares on loan for the 2023/24 campaign.
It is claimed that Villa's first-choice left-back is Sevilla's Marcos Acuna but if a deal for the Argentine international falls through, Unai Emery's side may target Tavares instead. The Gunners youngster had been linked with a £13million move to Nottingham Forest but recent reports have suggested that the deal is now off.
Emery and Co are now said to be considering their options with a one-year loan move including an option to make it permanent a possible solution.
Partey offer
It is claimed that the Gunners turned down a bid from the Saudi Pro League in the region of £26million to £30million for the Ghana international, who is now into the final two years of his contract at the Emirates Stadium. "Three weeks ago Arsenal rejected approaches for Partey from Saudi clubs for around €30-35million," Romano told Caught Offside.
"Arsenal said it was impossible to accept that kind of money, they wanted more than €45million to let Partey leave the club. So, I don’t really see this as a realistic opportunity for any club at the moment.
"I don’t see Fenerbahce paying that kind of money and of course, Mikel Arteta is very happy with Partey, so to change the situation more than €45million (£38million) will have to be the fee.”
Tottenham battle
Schuurs, who has also been linked with a move to Liverpool, is on both north London club's list of potential targets, according to transfer expert Dean Jones. Speaking on the Ranks FC Ultras Podcast, Jones said: “Perr Schuurs is certainly someone Tottenham are interested in.
"They have been for a while now. Had him on my radar coming into the transfer window as a player who has been on a number of clubs radars, even Arsenal had him actually."
