Arsenal's season is in danger of falling apart after another defeat on Sunday.
The Gunners lost 2-0 to Liverpool in the Emirates to fall at the first hurdle in the FA Cup. The hosts created plenty of chances but failed to score before Jakub Kiwior nodded Trent Alexander-Arnold's cross into his own net. Luis Diaz then scored in the 95th minute.
Arsenal now find themselves out of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup. They are also fourth in the Premier League table after picking up one point from their last three games, a run that's left them five points behind leaders Liverpool. The Gunners will be looking for reinforcements in January, but who are they interested in? Here are the latest rumours...
Arsenal chase Onana's signature
Arsenal are interested in signing Everton midfielder Amadou Onana, according to Football London. Onana, 23, has impressed in the Premier League since joining the Toffees from Lille in August 2022 in a £33million deal, making 47 outings in the division.
It's believed the Gunners are considering making a £50million offer, which could be enough to tempt Everton. The Merseyside club have money woes after receiving a 10-point deduction earlier this season for breaching the Premier League's financial rules.
Everton will do all they can to keep Onana, who they rate at £90m. Reports in Belgium claim there are 'intensive talks' between Arsenal and the Toffees over a deal for the midfielder. Onana is a Belgium international with nine senior caps to his name.
Toney quashes Arsenal talk
Ivan Toney insists he has "a lot to repay" Brentford for after sticking by him during his ban. The England international, 27, will return to Premier League football this month after serving an eight-month suspension for breaching the Football Association's betting rules.
Toney, who scored 20 Premier League goals last season, is a transfer target for Arsenal and Chelsea. Yet Brentford are determined to keep hold of their prized asset after losing Yoane Wissa to the Africa Cup of Nations and Bryan Mbeumo to a serious ankle injury.
In an exclusive interview with Mirror Football, Toney said: "They (Brentford) have been nothing but amazing for me. I can't thank them enough, especially the fans. They were behind me from the first minute as well. So it's kind of like I have a lot to repay."
Brentford are enduring a nightmare run in the Premier League, having lost five consecutive games, and want Toney to fire them to safety before contemplating a sale in the summer. They are 16th in the table, just four points above the relegation zone.
Mbappe future still in the balance
Arsenal's hopes of signing Kylian Mbappe are slim - very slim - but fans will continue to dream until his future is decided. The World Cup winner, 25, has just six months left on his Paris Saint-Germain contract and several clubs are interested in signing him.
Real Madrid are the favourites to land Mbappe, with Liverpool and other Premier League clubs also in the frame. Reports on Sunday suggested Madrid had agreed a deal, but the France international's representatives have told Fabrizio Romano this is not the case.

If Arsenal cannot sign a good striker this season, I won't attend another match and Wil request refund on my season tickets. It's very painful to see your team dominate play and lose to thrash team like Liverpool.

Our problem is putting the ball in the back of the net and definitely we need striker, yet I don't understand why Arteta keep talking of singing midfielder, for what? We have lots of midfielders. Bring in Toney and Solanke, simple.

Just last month everyone was saying in Arteta we trust and now 3 bad games you want to crucify him until we hear change the manger. Arsenal fans! Common. When we beat city they went 3matches without a win loosing two matches. We did not hear change the manager. Remember Klop did not win anything in his first 3 seasons. Give it time
To be honest how much can you raise from the sale of Cedric and you elneny. Not up to 5m. Then ESR we can get 30m. Which good striker can you get for 40m right now

If u don't trust the process go somewhere else.
How long does/should the "process" take? It's not endless, or is it?!

"Give it time"? I understand your perspective but if you pay attention to Arsenal's woes in history, it's always followed the same pattern. How could anyone complain about Guardiola after a treble, so please don't compare. Imagine Arteta saying he can't buy players this window that he'll develop the ones he has. What rubbish?! Cedric Soares, Rowe, Elneny... can be sold to raise money. Simple. So, you need to understand fan's agitation.

Even if they bring Mbappe and Haaland together they can win anything, what Arsenal is mentality of winning each and every games Arsenal weakness is that they cannot played well when under pressure
Which Arsenal do you really watch?

We need a change of manager , not just players. For those who still believe in the process , keep believing for the next 10 years

I don't understand Arteta, we have many midfielders why again going for onana instead of solving goal issue go for Watkins or vlahovic if Ivan Tony's issue is complicated

Arsenal should just keep their money and give the many talented youngsters as well back benchers like ESR, Reiss Nelson a chance to shine. January is a window when many wolves are out hunting. don't do anything that we will regret.
