Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta was delighted with the attitude of his players as the Gunners fought back from a goal down to earn a draw against Bournemouth.
'I am pleased with a lot of things that I have seen today, a lot of things we actually practiced that we saw in the game,' Arteta told Amazon Prime Sport.
'I would have been happy if we won the game. We had enough chances to put it to bed. But it’s a good start I think.'
'In terms of attitude, desire, aggression and commitment, it was better than I expected to be fair. I’m still learning a lot about the players, how we can help them, but it’s just started.'
Arteta conceded that the lapse in concentration at the back, in which Bukayo Saka attempted to play the ball out from his own third but was dispossessed, is part of a learning process, and that defensive problems will be addressed in training.
'We have some areas where you have to make certain decisions, it’s part of the process, when yes and when no,' he said. 'We try to put some things in place and the majority of them were good today.
'My only target now is to review the game and find solutions from the game and tomorrow prepare a good training session to improve them. At the moment the urgency is now.'

Well, not bad for Arteta as his first match ina charge. Though we played so poorly, so wasteful. We strongly need some new signings to refresh and strengthen our XI squad. [5percent]

Arteta has the winning philosophy and seems his dressing room relations is top class.. Ozil is Ozil who was mismanaged by Emery and Freddie... Lacazzete has forgotten his scoring password.. Saka is still a kid in both be and playing style. Xhaka is master class Toreira is a commander.. Defence of Arsenal is very porous

Willock is not ready, Nelson needs to be more composed, Saka is just average needs to upgrade. Torreira well done industry.

They need a creative midfielder to replace Ozil, someone who call boldly hold the ball outside opposition area either commit them for fouls or hold on the ball to find the right player at the right position to score, Ozil is getting off the ball too easily and the tempo of the game this days you need to be more stronger and take shots when you have the chance.

I watch Arsenal match today and arsenal almost lose I don't see a difference compared from before Wenger left.its the same arsenal out there today .2 players played today that's Leno and abuamayang some arsenal fans are bias and dellusional they are afraid to say the truth. My club Manchester united not doing well either we just need a no.6 ,no.10 because we have pogba who is world class and he is a no.8 I want him in the no.8 role with a no.6 and no.10 we would definitely do better
