Arsenal still have several players out injured as they prepare for this weekend's clash against Liverpool, according to The Evening Standard.
Max Dowman was sent off for retaliating after a serious foul by Harrison Neal, a incident that drew a strong reaction from Arteta.
The 16-year-old will now serve a three-match ban after the FA rejected Arsenal's appeal against his red card on Thursday. He will therefore miss the Liverpool game, which leaves Arteta with problems on the wing.
Here is the latest Arsenal injury news and return dates ahead of the Gunners' trip to Merseyside for this week's top-flight showdown.
Rice trained with Arsenal on Monday but was not included in the squad for the Fleetwood game. It was his second absence of the season in all competitions.
It was later confirmed that the midfielder's absence was not rotation to manage his workload, but was due to a knock.
Arteta said after the loss to Fleetwood: "Rice had some problems a few days ago (against Everton), so I had to take him off."
Rice's return to training is a good sign, but further updates are expected at Arteta's pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon.
Potential return date: Sunday, November 1, vs Liverpool (away)
Unlike Rice, Madueke was not seen in training on Monday. Arteta revealed that the winger sustained an ankle injury against Everton, which ruled him out of the trip to Fleetwood.
With Arsenal already short of options on the wings, and Dowman now suspended, fans are desperate for positive news on Madueke ahead of the Liverpool game.

Calafiori was a somewhat surprising omission from Arsenal's starting lineup against Everton last weekend, especially as he had started the previous seven Premier League games in a row.
However, given that he played the full 90 minutes in the Champions League against Bayern and had little time to recover, it was reasonable for Arteta to rest his first-choice left-back.
The Italian came off the bench in the second half on Saturday and played most of the eight minutes of stoppage time up front, with Madueke dropping back to defend. He then headed straight down the tunnel after the final whistle.
After the match, Arteta confirmed that Calafiori had a minor injury.
Arteta said: "Yes, that is why I changed their positions. He had a little problem, we don't know what it is, it looks very minor, but he is being cautious about it."
Calafiori may also have been rested for the Fleetwood game, but he is now in a race against time to prove his fitness for the trip to Anfield.

Saka went off early against Bayern, causing a serious injury scare for Arsenal.
The England winger got past Alphonso Davies' challenge and started an Arsenal attack, dribbling into space and delivering a cross.
However, after playing the ball under no real pressure, Saka immediately went down clutching his left leg and signaled to the bench that he was injured.
Arsenal are still waiting to learn the full extent of Saka's injury, which Arteta confirmed is a quadriceps problem.
Amid fears that Saka could be out for up to eight weeks, the latest news is that he will undergo another scan before a definitive timetable is set.
"We have to wait. It will take weeks," Arteta said before Arsenal's win over Everton. "I think in a week or 10 days we will have another scan because there is a lot of fluid at the moment."
"So at the moment, it's not clear enough to give an exact time. But it looks like it will take weeks."
Potential return date: Sunday, December 20, vs Man United (home)
Christos Tzolis was injured in early October during Greece's 2-2 Nations League draw at home to the Netherlands.
According to Greece coach Ivan Jovanovic, Tzolis initially refused to leave the pitch after receiving treatment but was eventually substituted in the 18th minute. He reportedly underwent a scan before returning to Arsenal.
After reports that Tzolis would be out for up to three weeks, Arteta gave his first update at a press conference before Arsenal's win over Leeds United.
"Tzolis has a muscle injury and he will be out for a few weeks," the Arsenal manager said. "He is not back yet."
The reported three-week period has now passed, so Tzolis could be available for the match against Liverpool at Anfield.
Before the win over Nottingham Forest, Arteta said: "Again, he is doing very well. Yesterday he had another MRI to see how the injury is recovering."
"The progress is very good. Hopefully he will also be back in a few weeks."

Saliba has yet to feature for Arsenal this season after aggravating a long-standing back injury while playing for France at the World Cup this summer.
Although he avoided surgery, he is expected to be out for several months, which is a huge blow for Arteta.
The good news is that Saliba has recently resumed individual training at Arsenal's training ground and his recovery is progressing well.
"Next week, we will do another MRI for him to see how the healing is going," Arteta said in his latest update on Saliba.
"So far, all the signs are very, very positive. It will be great to have him back."
