Ashley Cole has confirmed he will be returning to his former club Chelsea to take up a coaching role.
Cole, who recently announced his retirement from professional football, has revealed he will return to Stamford Bridge to work under his former team-mate Frank Lampard and take up the role as Under-15s coach.
Acting as a guest of UEFA for the Europa League draw in Monaco on Friday, Cole outlined that it was time for him to enter the next chapter of his career.
'I've worked under some great managers, took a lot from them so I will go back to Chelsea and work with their under-15s and see where it goes from there,' said the former England international.
After coming through the youth ranks at Arsenal, he made a controversial switch to rivals Chelsea in 2006 before finishing his career with spells at Roma, LA Galaxy and finally Derby at the end of last season.
With Derby, and playing under Lampard, Cole and the side reached the Championship play-off final, where they were ultimately defeated by Aston Villa.

I'm still waiting for Chelsea to honour Drogba with a position at the club. what's really happening? Lampard, Petre Cech, Makelele and now Ashley Cole have all been given different roles at the club and Drogba is still out there doing nothing. Have Chelsea football club forgotten about Drogba all of a sudden?
