Aston Villa are weighing up a bid for Wolves' Matheus Cunha after selling Jhon Duran to Al-Nassr.
Villa will bank £65million plus add-ons for Duran, who will complete his move on Friday, and want to utilise those funds to strengthen Unai Emery's push for European qualification.
Villa can add three new players to their Champions League squad.
Cunha is valued around £70million and has two and half years left on his contract with Wolves.
The 25-year-old, who cost in the region of £40m when he moved to Molineux from former club Atletico Madrid, has scored 24 goals and provided 11 assists in his 71-game Premier League career to date.
Cunha is not the only player Villa are interested in. They are also continuing talks over Chelsea forward Joao Felix and PSG winger Marco Asensio.
Bayern Munich's Mathys Tel is another player under consideration, while Villa remain hopeful of signing Axel Disasi from Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Villa are reluctant to sell Ollie Watkins to Arsenal.
The Gunners are expected to make a second bid for the England striker after seeing an initial offer worth around £60m knocked back.
Despite Villa's defiance and reluctance to sell, it is understood that Watkins would be open to joining the Gunners before the transfer window closes on Monday night.

If Cunha isn't as popular as other top players it's because he plays for Wolves..In a top EPL side like Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle or Liverpool he'll greatly excel

Chelsea should buy Mathew's Cunha he'll be world class in the chelsea team surrounded by better quality players than what he has at Wolverhampton Wanderers. Besides, can anyone do worse than Nicholas Jackson?

Villa would be a good move for Felix. He’ll have a lot more freedom to show his quality in Emery’s system
