Aston Villa reportedly have Japan international Zion Suzuki on their shortlist as a potential replacement for Emi Martinez.
Martinez, 33, has been heavily linked with a move away from Villa Park this summer, with Italian giants Juventus said to be in talks.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Unai Emery’s side are preparing for life without the World Cup winner and are looking at new goalkeeping options.
Parma and Japan shot stopper Suzuki is one of three names on their shortlist should Martinez end up leaving the club.
Romano adds that Villa have been scouting Suzuki for months as the 23-year-old heads to his first World Cup with Japan.
