Aston Villa striker Scott Hogan is in talks to join Championship side Stoke City on a season-long loan.
Hogan has just under two years remaining on his contract at Villa and had a loan spell at Sheffield United in the second half of last season.
The 27-year-old featured for Villa in pre-season but finds himself down the pecking order at the club.
Since joining Villa in 2016, Hogan has scored ten goals in 61 appearances for the club.
The Republic of Ireland international has played three times for his country.
Stoke, who commenced their Championship campaign with a 2-1 defeat by QPR, are looking to bring in more attacking firepower. They started with Benik Afobe and Sam Vokes up front against QPR.
Stoke are also keen on a loan deal for Izzy Brown from Chelsea.
