Atalanta 2-2 Juventus: Ronaldo springs from bench to rescue unbeaten Old Lady

Massimiliano Allegri had to turn to Cristiano Ronaldo to salvage a 2-2 draw for Juventus against Atalanta in Serie A.

Djimsiti makes a huge blunder on his arrival in the team. He replaced Palomino following the defeat to Genoa and has already made a negative impact. He diverts Alex Sandro's tame cross into the middle past Berisha, slicing his attempted clearance into the bottom corner.

Berisha makes a vital save to prevent Juve notching a second. Dybala is afforded space and time on the edge of the box and he tees up Bentancur for a strike at goal. The Uruguayan powers his effort towards goal, but Berisha gets across to turn it onto the bar before the ball bounces to safety.

24'GOAL! Atalanta 1-1 Juventus (Zapata)

The home side are level with a fine goal from Zapata. The striker collects with his back to goal and he fends off the challenge of Bonucci with ease before turning to face the target. There's still work to do, but Zapata holds his composure to curl a left-footed strike past Szczesny to level the scores.

OFF! Juve are down to 10 men as Bentancur receives his second bookable offence. The midfielder trips Castagne as he attempts to come out from the back and the referee gives him his marching orders.

The striker notches his second goal of the game to hand the home side the lead. Gomez swings the resulting corner into the box and the ball travels through to the middle of the six-yard box. Zapata gets ahead of his man to guide a headed effort past Szczesny, displaying predatory instincts.

Here comes Ronaldo. The Portuguese replaces Khedira for the visitors.

It had to be the Portuguese to get the leveller for Juve. Allegri went to his bench for his main man and he has not disappointed. Pjanic curled his delivery deep to the back post for Mandzukic to head down towards the middle of the six-yard box. Ronaldo got ahead of his man to nod his effort into the net from close range.

Cristiano Ronaldo came off the bench to rescue a point for 10-man Juventus as they drew 2-2 with Atalanta to preserve their unbeaten run in Serie A.

Massimiliano Allegri rested Ronaldo for Wednesday's clash, but was forced to call on his star man when Duvan Zapata headed the hosts in front in the 56th minute.

Berat Djimsiti's own goal had put Juve ahead early on, but Atalanta drew level through Zapata's 24th-minute strike, with Rodrigo Bentancur's dismissal making matters worse for Juve.
