Atalanta announced that centre-back Cristian Romero has tested positive for COVID-19 and is out of tomorrow’s game with Lazio.
The defender was the only player to test positive in the latest round of swabs.
He has been placed into self-isolation at home and is asymptomatic.
Atalanta immediately activated the COVID protocol for their squad and informed the local authorities.
They are set to play Lazio on Sunday at 14.00 GMT.
These two teams had already faced off in the Coppa Italia quarter-final on Wednesday, with Romero playing all 90 minutes.
